Sumeet Mitter MD, MSc, FACC

Dr. Sumeet Singh Mitter is a board-certified Advanced Heart Failure & Transplant Cardiologist at Inova Schar Heart and Vascular in Falls Church, Virginia, where he is the director of the Infiltrative and Restrictive Cardiomyopathy Program, encompassing cardiac amyloid, and is the director of site-based research. He has a co-appointment at the University of Virginia School of Medicine as an assistant professor of medical education. He previously was at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York where he was the founder of the cardiac amyloidosis program. Dr. Mitter is a leader in clinical trials in the amyloid, hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, and heart failure with preserved ejection fraction spaces, having previously partnered with Alnylam on the Apollo-B Study and has coauthored over 50 publications.
