The session will discuss what advocacy is and why it is important for patients exploring clinical trial enrollment. Also, information will be shared regarding where to find clinical trials and how caregivers and loved ones can be supportive.
Take a break during the virtual meeting and get up and moving with a brief exercise demonstration. Learn ways to simultaneously strengthen the body and heart which can help a patient recover more quickly from a cardiac event and help prevent future events.
The session will explore the effect of diet and exercise on heart health, as well as the mind-body connection and how to recognize signs of depression and know when to talk with a health professional. A common screening tool will be shared with participants to help monitor mental health.
