Ann Laramee is a Nurse Practitioner in Cardiology and Palliative Medicine at the University of Vermont Medical Center in Burlington, Vermont. She has managed patients with heart failure for over 20 years; currently caring for patients in the Heart Failure Clinic. In addition, Ann does palliative care inpatient consults for anyone living with life limiting illness.

She is also a clinical educator and adjunct faculty for Master’s and Doctoral students at the University of Vermont. Ann’s areas of expertise and research interests are heart failure care management, palliative care, evidence based practice, and health literacy with numerous publications and national presentations in each area.

Ann is a charter member of AAHFN and has served on a number of AAHFN committees including the Membership committee and the Annual Meeting Committee as well as serving as chair of the 2016 Annual meeting.

Ann currently serves on the Advocacy Committee for the Heart Failure Society of America, Governance Chair for Kappa Tau, the local chapter of Sigma Theta Tau International Nursing Honor Society, board member for the Vermont Cardiac Network, an organization devoted to bringing quality cardiac education to health care practitioners and former chair now committee member for the 9th Annual Nursing Research and Evidence Based Practice Symposium, a regional venue for nurses to present their evidence.

Ann earned her BSN from Oakland University in Rochester, Michigan and her MS at the University of Vermont in 1994 as a clinical nurse specialist and received a post master’s as an adult nurse practitioner in 2004.
