Dr. Payman Zamani is an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Advanced Heart Failure and Cardiac Transplant Section of the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. In addition to seeing patients, Dr. Zamani has an active research program focused on understanding the limitations to exercise in heart failure patients and how these can be improved. He is an active member of the HFSA, currently chairing the Early Career/Trainee Committee, serving on the Programming Committee for the annual meeting, and Co-Chairing the HFSA’s “Future Leaders in Heart Failure Symposium.”

Dr. Zamani graduated from Dartmouth College and received his medical degree from Harvard Medical School. He completed Internal Medicine training at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and his general cardiology training at the University of Pennsylvania. He received additional training in Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiology at the University of California, San Diego.
